Cost Analysis Supervisor

 Description The cost analysis supervisor plays a key role in analyzing a company's costs, reconciling, and controlling inventory, cost of sales, product margins, productivity and the use of available resources, and reports such analysis to management for decision-making and control in order to improve spending, product profitability and efficiency. 


This position is Responsible for PC level costs and control including inventory cost, bill of material audits, and cost analysis.
 
Support month-end close and special projects as requested. Works closely with manufacturing, to understand issues and how they impact the financial results as well as educate/inform department(s) on cost drivers and variances. Also act as liaison with corporate financial staff, as required.

The position is accountable for pricing integrity (price accuracy) for base pricing and promotional pricing.  This position will manage 3 pricing specialists
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
·         Perform all cost activities including standard cost development, cost ratio analysis, inventory control and variance analysis, etc.
·         Provide reporting and analysis for all business activity including productivity, capital & department spending, forecasting, budgeting, absorption, sales, inventory and operations planning, etc.
·         Participate in development of the annual operating plan and monthly forecasting.
·         Lead annual physical inventory and manage all cycle count procedures.
·         Prepare and distribute managerial reports and explain financial results to non-financial audience.
·         Communicate and explain business performance through the P&L.
·         Analyze, and report data in a manner that is useful and relevant for making business decisions with the use of an ERP.
 
Job Requirements:
·         University degree with strong education program
·         5+ years exp. in cost management role, with costing analysis background
·         Strong strategic and analytical abilities
·         Good communication and influencing abilities
·         Advanced MS Excel (create macros and complex formulas)
·         Demonstrates abilities to manage business and process
·         Orientation to project management and CRM
