Cashier

 

Functions:
·         Receive payments from customers after repair vehicle repair is completed.
·         Explain the repair and charges to the customer and advise that service advisor is available upon request.
·         Ensure that Job Card is complete.
 
Relationships:
·         Report directly to the service manager.
·         Maintain close working relationship with CSI Personnel, service advisor, parts counterperson and dispatcher (Controller)

Responsibilities and authority
Customer satisfaction
·         Greet customers promptly and courteously.
·         Provide basic explanation of charges to customer.
·         Answer customer for their questions as completely as possible, if needed call the responsible service advisor.
·         Thank customers for their business.
·         Call for assistance when customer is lined up at the cashier's window or when dealing an angry customer.
 
Processing repair orders
·         Review all repair orders for completeness and accuracy.
·         Total charges and add taxes as appropriate.
·         File repair order by customer name prior to delivery.
·         Forward repair order copies to the service department for filing.
 
Processing payment
·         Explain methods of payment to customers.
·         Receive and process payment from customers.
·         Provide customers with a receipt a copy of the repair order ( Job Card).
 
Interdepartmental relation
·         Work with service advisor, parts counterperson or dispatcher (Controller) to clarify repair orders and charges.
·         Work with the accounting office regarding an effective filing system.
 
Housekeeping/safety
·         Keep desk and office neat, clean and organized.
·         Follow dealership security guidelines.
 
Personal
·         Maintain professional attire to G.B.Auto policy.
·         Be prompt and dependable.
·         Maintain a pleasant demeanor.
