Pricing Manager

 

 Description The Pricing Manager plays a key role in the day to day management of the Planning Department, and is responsible for executing and managing the pricing strategies aligned to by the Director of sales and after sales, and planning department Manager. 

This position is responsible for overall pricing strategies that cross multiple lines of business and for mentoring Pricing Analysts in regard to software knowledge and report development. 

The position is accountable for pricing integrity (price accuracy) for base pricing and promotional pricing.  This position will manage 3 pricing specialists
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
·         Manage the day to day pricing activities of all PC sales categories for both base pricing and promotional pricing.  This includes, but is not limited to: generating reports, creating spreadsheets, presenting key findings to assigned PC Sales teams in coordination with pricing specialists.
·         Provide fact-based guidance to the Price specialists and Buyers in selecting pricing strategies/rules.  Manage rules and strategies (by model/by channel) within the pricing systems.
·         Audit all pricing functions to ensure 100% accuracy-create reports to track pricing errors; identify resolutions as applicable.
·         Manage the pricing calendar to balance workload in the stores and improve price execution.
·         Work on special projects, tenders analysis, and initiatives related to pricing strategies.
·         Monitor and report competitor prices across all price zones for designated items.      
·         Provide reports to illustrate price change forecast versus actual results and action plans, by category, to monitor and react to pricing opportunities.
 
Job Requirements:
·         University degree with strong education program
·         5+ years exp. in pricing manager role, with pricing analysis background
·         Strong strategic and analytical abilities
·         Good communication and influencing abilities
·         Advanced MS Excel (create macros and complex formulas)
·         Demonstrates abilities to manage business, people and process
·         Orientation to project management and CRM
